Someone at Lab should probably update it regarding the 30 second audio limit. I have updated the wiki, and linked to the knowledge base article. The file I tested with was originally 30.039 seconds long (meaning it would show as 00:30 or 30.0 despite being longer), so I had to cut it to exactly 30.0. The thing you have to watch out for (and the reason why 9.9 was suggested), is that most media players don't show accurate duration, or round it to some fraction. To test this, I took an audio file and converted it to PCM WAV (signed 16bit) with 44100 bitrate and one audio channel (because SL sounds have to be mono). The wiki (and the knowledge base article) seems to be out of date (I don't think "441,000 samples" was ever correct). The page at the link also says: "You're advised to cut longer sounds into 9.9-second-pieces." Now your song is split into its left and right channels.

Step 2: Split the Track Once your track is loaded into Audacity, select the drop-down menu for the track, then choose the option to Split Stereo Track. That kind of explains why Extrude Ragu's program uses 9.9 seconds.don't want to ACTUALLY use EXACTLY 10 seconds! I had seen this before but forgot. Step 1: Load Audio File into Audacity Open Audacity, then choose File -> Open and select the track you wish to remove vocals from.
